Wine trips

Important concepts here are: atmosphere, small scale, intense enjoyment, learning about French wines and wine tasting Special wines, delicious food and French culture.

Suggestions for an exclusive, small-scale RHONE/PROVENCE wine trip:

The first three days you will be staying at a characteristic wine domain in the Tricastin. In this relaxing environment you will acquire much knowledge of the regional Rhone wines. Among other things we will visit a top quality wine company in Cornas for the red syrah and white Saint-Peray wines and take a walking tour through the vineyard with its wonderful view of the Rhone valley.

In Gigondas against the Dentelles de Montmirail you will meet Stefanie Fumoso who will show you around her beautiful estate making you acquainted with her very special Gigondas wines. She is one of the smaller wine producers who still radiate real warmth and dedication and have absolute top quality (in store).

We will certainly pay attention here to food/wine combinations with Gigondas wines.

The next visit will be to the Domaine Saladin with its lovely white, rose and red wines. The Saladin family business dates back to the 15th century and ever since they have been producing high quality wines, with heart and soul. The location is very special, the vineyards are organically grown and the vigneronnes speak fluent English!

Excellent lunches and dinners will be provided at nice spots nearby.

Of course another of the programmed attractions will be a visit to Chateauneuf-du-Pape, with its great wines and beautiful surroundings.

Next in line are the Provence wines.

A stay of two nights in a pleasant, characteristic bastide just outside Brignoles.

Tastings and a visit to breathtakingly beautiful "domains", e.g. one that is situated against the "Mont Saint Victoire" near Aix en Provence. Another attraction will be the absolute top quality wines of the Bandol. The locations of these vineyards are stunning, in between olive groves and rosemary and thyme, with a view of the Mediterranean Sea.

The programme will provide full coverage of food and drink, if you like: 5 dinners, 4 lunches and 5 breakfasts will be included, everything very small scale: a maximum of 8 persons and a stay based on 2 people in a luxury, double room.
Transport: own
